About Vikay
Who is Vikay?
Vikay Mining Equipments is a manufacturer and exporter based in Mumbai, India, supplying mining equipment, construction air tools, reciprocating air compressors and aftermarket spare parts to mine operators, contractors, dealers and distributors worldwide. vikayindia.com is our online catalogue. We have worked in this field for more than 35 years.
What does Vikay supply?
Three ranges. Mining: pneumatic rock drills, jackleg and stoper drills, drifters, pusher legs, ring drilling rigs, wagon and crawler drills, DTH hammers, mucking loaders, ventilation fans, slurry and cement injection pumps, with their spare parts and drilling accessories. Construction: paving breakers, chipping hammers, rivet busters, clay diggers, scabblers, backfill tampers, hand drills, pumps and hydraulic rock breakers, with their spare parts. Air Compressor: two stage, multi stage and vacuum reciprocating compressors, and aftermarket parts for Ingersoll Rand, Atlas Copco and Chicago Pneumatic machines.
Can you export to my country?
Yes. Vikay Mining Equipments is registered in Mumbai, India and holds a valid IEC (Import Export Code), and we ship worldwide by courier, air and sea. You will need whatever import permissions and documentation your own country requires for the goods.
Parts and Products
Are your spare parts genuine OEM, or aftermarket?
The parts listed on this website are new aftermarket replacement parts, manufactured to fit the machines shown. Manufacturer names, model designations and part numbers are quoted for identification and fitment only, so you can cross-reference them against your machine's own spare parts manual. They do not imply that a listed part originates from the original equipment manufacturer.
Genuine OEM parts can also be supplied on request. Tell us at the enquiry stage and we will quote both, so you can compare on the same offer. OEM parts normally carry a higher price and a longer lead time; aftermarket parts are quicker and more economical. Many customers mix the two on a single order, taking OEM for the critical components and aftermarket for the rest, and we are happy to quote it that way.
Which equipment brands do you supply parts for?
Atlas Copco and Epiroc, Chicago Pneumatic, Ingersoll Rand, Sandvik, Tamrock, Furukawa, Toku, Alimak, Secan, Midwestern, Nasa and La Cruz, across mining equipment, construction air tools and reciprocating air compressors.
How do I make sure I order the correct part?
Send the part number from your machine's spare parts manual, together with the machine model and, for compressors and hydraulic drills, the serial number. The serial number matters because component dimensions changed between build revisions of long-running ranges, so a part that looks correct may not seal. If you do not have the number, send the machine model and a clear photograph of the worn component and we will identify it against the drawing before quoting.
My part number does not appear on the website. Can you still supply it?
Usually, yes. Many parts are supplied against drawings or samples even where they have no catalogue page here, so send the number anyway. Note also that part numbers are often printed both with and without a leading zero or a letter prefix. 0108133600 and 108133600, or R047967 and 47967, are the same item. We cross-check both forms.
What quality standard do you work to?
Vikay Mining Equipments is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company, and replacement parts are tested in accordance with internationally recognised quality assurance standards.
What warranty do you give?
Spare parts are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for 60 days from the date of purchase. Equipment is warranted for 6 months from the date of despatch or 3 months from the date of commissioning, whichever comes first. No other warranty, express or implied, is given.
In either case the remedy is repair, modification or replacement at our discretion, and we are not liable for special, indirect or consequential damages. The warranty does not cover normal wear parts, accident damage, misuse or neglect, altered or modified products, or equipment that has not been maintained to the instruction schedule. Goods may not be returned without our written authorisation, and a returned item must reach our works within the warranty period with charges prepaid. Full terms are set out on our Quality and Warranty Policies page. All disputes are subject to Mumbai jurisdiction, India only.
Prices and Enquiries
Why are there no prices on the website, and how do I get one?
Prices depend on quantity, specification and destination, so we quote on request rather than publishing a list. Add the items you need to the cart and send a Request for Quotation (RFQ), or email your requirement directly to sales@vikayindia.com. The cart is an enquiry list, not a checkout. Nothing is charged and no payment is taken at that stage. We reply with prices, lead time and packing details.
How quickly will my RFQ be answered?
Within 24 to 48 hours of the request during our business hours, Monday to Friday, 10 am to 6 pm IST. Enquiries that need a drawing check or a part to be identified from a photograph may take longer, and we will tell you if that is the case.
Is there a minimum order value?
Yes. Our minimum order value is USD 500.
Shipping and Documents
How is the cargo shipped?
By courier, by air or by sea, whichever suits the size and urgency of the order. Courier suits small and urgent spare parts, air suits mid-sized consignments, and sea suits equipment and bulk spares where cost matters more than speed. We quote the Incoterm that belongs to the mode:
Courier, DAP. Delivered to your address, with the freight included in our price. DAP means delivered, not duty paid: import clearance, customs duty and any local taxes on arrival are settled by you.
Air, CPT or FCA. On CPT we book the freight and the quoted price carries the goods to your named airport of destination. On FCA we deliver them cleared for export to the carrier or agent you nominate in India, and the main carriage is yours.
Sea, CFR or FOB. On CFR we book the freight and the quoted price carries the goods to your named destination port. On FOB we deliver them cleared for export and loaded at the Indian port, and your carrier or nominated agent carries them onward.
Send us your delivery address, airport or destination port with your enquiry so the offer is priced on the right basis. A carriage-paid price (DAP, CPT or CFR) and a handover price (FCA or FOB) are not comparable on their face, because the first includes the main carriage and the second does not. If you would rather use your own courier account, book it at your end and send us the booking reference, and we will hand the consignment over.
What documents come with the shipment?
As standard: the commercial invoice, packing list, and the AWB or Bill of Lading. Additional documents are available at extra cost: Certificate of Origin certified by the Chamber of Commerce, GSP Form A, pre-shipment inspection, and legalisation of documents. Tell us at the RFQ stage which of these your import requires, as some take time to arrange.
How are the goods packed?
Export-worthy packing in every case. Air and courier shipments are packed in corrugated cartons; sea shipments in wooden packing, metal racks or metal cages, chosen to suit the weight and the length of the voyage.
What is the Proforma Invoice, and why do I have to sign it?
The Proforma Invoice is the pre-invoice we email you once your order is confirmed. It states the items, the value, the agreed Incoterm, the port of loading, the port of discharge, the country of origin and the final destination, so we need your mode of transport and your delivery address or discharge port before we can issue it. You stamp, sign and email the scanned copy back to us, because it is the document against which the goods are cleared through Indian customs.
Payment and Delivery
What are your payment terms?
Advance payment by SWIFT or T/T (telegraphic transfer) against our Proforma Invoice. We send the bank details with the Proforma Invoice. After remitting, please send us the MT-103 copy, the bank-to-bank remittance advice your bank issues, as our bankers need it to trace the payment. We confirm by email as soon as the funds are received.
What is the lead time?
The lead time is stated on the Proforma Invoice and runs from the date our bank receives your payment. It varies by item: stocked spare parts despatch quickly, while equipment and larger assemblies are made to order.
How will I know my order has shipped, and how do I track it?
We email you when the goods are ready for despatch, so you can book the courier or send your agent. Once collected from our warehouse we confirm by email and send the scanned waybill for courier shipments, or the AWB or Bill of Lading details for air and sea. For air and sea shipments your nominated agent will also update you directly.
