Cement Injection Pump
A cement injection pump is an air-driven pump that forces cement grout or water-based binder into rock fissures and boreholes at high pressure and low volume. Vikay supplies the VK-CIP from India for underground mine grouting and ground consolidation.
Grouting is a high-pressure, low-flow duty: the object is to drive a viscous mix into fine fissures, not to move volume. That is the opposite of what a general-purpose pump is designed for, which is why a dedicated injection pump is used for consolidating fractured ground, sealing water inflows, backfilling voids behind linings and anchoring rock bolts.
The VK-CIP runs on compressed air, so it can be taken into wet, confined and freshly blasted ground with no electrical installation. It is deliberately built light and portable, and rugged enough for normal mine handling, and it strips easily for clearing the blockages that come with any cement product.
Typical applications are underground metal mines, tunnelling, shaft sinking and civil ground treatment.
