Quality and Warranty Policies

These policies cover the mining equipment, construction air tools, air compressors and spare parts supplied by Vikay Mining Equipments, Mumbai, India, wherever in the world they are shipped.

In short

Spare parts are warranted for 60 days from the date of purchase. Equipment is warranted for 6 months from the date of despatch or 3 months from the date of commissioning, whichever comes first. In either case the remedy is repair, modification or replacement at our discretion, and goods may only be returned once we have authorised the return in writing. The sections below set the terms out in full.

1. Product Compatibility

Every replacement part we supply is manufactured and tested against internationally recognised quality assurance standards. We guarantee that our replacement parts are fully compatible and interchangeable with the corresponding original part, that critical dimensions and tolerances meet original equipment specifications, and that the part will perform as well as or better than the equivalent original when run under the same working and environmental conditions.

Parts listed on this website are new aftermarket parts. Manufacturer names, model designations and part numbers are used to identify fitment only, and do not imply that a part originates from the original equipment manufacturer. Genuine OEM parts can also be supplied on request; please say so when you send your enquiry.

2. Quality Policy

Vikay Mining Equipments is committed to exporting mining, drilling and quarry equipment, construction air tools, air compressors and their spare parts to a consistent standard, meeting all statutory requirements, and continually improving both our Quality Management System and the satisfaction of our customers. We are an ISO 9001:2015 certified company.

3. Warranty on Spare Parts (PC /5/ 2011)

Vikay Mining Equipments warrants its spare parts to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 60 days from the date of purchase. No other warranty, express or implied, is given.

To be valid, a claim requires that the non-conforming part reaches our works within that 60 day period, with transport and all other charges prepaid by the purchaser. The warranty does not apply to any part that has been altered or modified in any way.

The purchaser's sole and exclusive remedy for breach of contract, including breach of any express or implied warranty other than the one stated above, is limited to repair, modification or replacement of the non-conforming part at the sole discretion of Vikay. We are not liable in any event for the cost of any special, indirect or consequential damages to any party. Merchandise may not be returned without the written authorisation of Vikay Mining Equipments.

4. Warranty on Equipment (PC /4/ 2011)

Vikay equipment is warranted against manufacturing and workmanship defects for 6 months from the date of despatch, or 3 months from the date of commissioning, whichever occurs first.

Where a defect is found within that period, our obligation is to repair or replace the affected part at our sole discretion and at no cost to the owner for the part itself. The buyer agrees to pay the freight, duties and any other charges arising on those parts. We are not liable in any event for the cost of any special, indirect or consequential damage to any party.

What the equipment warranty does not cover

1. Replacement of normal wear parts.

2. Any repair or replacement needed as a result of an accident or a collision.

3. Any defect caused by misuse, mishandling, negligence, abnormal use or insufficient care.

4. Any product that has been modified or altered.

5. Any product that has not been operated and maintained in accordance with the maintenance instruction schedule.

Making a claim

Write to us at sales@vikayindia.com with your invoice number, the part or machine details and a description of the fault, supported by photographs where possible. We will confirm in writing whether the item should be returned, and to which address. Please do not despatch anything before you receive that authorisation, as unauthorised returns cannot be accepted and returns must reach us within the warranty period with charges prepaid.

All disputes are subject to Mumbai Jurisdiction, India only.
