Hydraulic Rock Breaker
A hydraulic rock breaker is a percussion hammer attachment mounted on an excavator, backhoe loader or skid steer, powered by the carrier's hydraulic system. Vikay supplies breakers from India for carriers from 1 to 45 tonne operating weight.
Breaker selection is governed by the carrier, not by the rock. A breaker that is too heavy overloads the boom and starves on flow; one that is too light wastes carrier capacity and takes longer than blasting or a bigger machine would. The correct match is set by carrier operating weight, available hydraulic flow and working pressure.
