Construction air tools are compressed-air powered tools used for breaking, chipping, drilling, tamping and dewatering on construction and demolition sites. Vikay Mining Equipments supplies the range from India, including paving breakers, chipping hammers, rivet busters, clay diggers, scabblers, backfill tampers and hydraulic rock breakers.
Air tools remain the standard on demolition and civil sites because they run continuously, tolerate dust and water, and carry no electrical risk. Vikay supplies the full range alongside the compressors that drive them.
Breaking and demolition: paving breakers in the 15 to 40 kg class for road, concrete and rock breaking; rivet busters for cutting rivets, bolts and light structural steel; pick hammers for lighter chipping and cutting; and clay diggers and trench diggers for compacted soil and clay. Chipping hammers handle concrete dressing, weld chipping and foundry work, and scabblers with tungsten-carbide tipped pistons remove laitance and roughen concrete before overlays.
Dewatering: sump pumps and sludge pumps that run submerged on plant air and handle silt, slurry and abrasive water without seals or electrics.
Hydraulic rock breakers cover excavators, backhoe loaders and skid steers from 1 to 45 tonne carrier class, matched to Hyundai, Tata Hitachi, Sany, Kobelco, Volvo, Komatsu, Mahindra and JCB machines.
VK-branded tools are built to interchange with the Atlas Copco and Chicago Pneumatic models they replace, so existing steels, retainers and hoses continue to fit.
- Most hand-held pneumatic breakers and chipping hammers are rated for around 6 bar (85-90 psi) at the tool. Air consumption varies by model and is stated on each product page so you can size the compressor correctly.
What is the difference between a paving breaker and a chipping hammer?
- A paving breaker is a heavy vertical-use tool for breaking road surfaces, concrete slabs and rock. A chipping hammer is a lighter tool used one- or two-handed for dressing concrete, removing weld slag and foundry cleaning.
Can I use my existing moil and chisel points?
- Yes, provided the shank size and retainer match. Standard round and hex shank points in 9 to 30 inch lengths are stocked under Mining Equipment Accessories.
Are hydraulic rock breakers available for my excavator?
- Breakers are supplied for 1 to 45 tonne carriers, including Hyundai, Tata Hitachi, Sany, Kobelco, Volvo, Komatsu, Mahindra and JCB. Send the carrier make, model and operating weight for the correct match.
Do you supply spare parts for these tools?
- Yes. Wear parts and service kits for paving breakers, rivet busters, chipping hammers, hand drills, tampers, clay diggers and pumps are listed under Construction Air Tool Parts.
