Ingersoll Rand Type 30 NL Parts
Type 30 NL parts are the components for the non-lubricated version of the Ingersoll Rand Type 30 compressor, where no oil reaches the cylinder. Vikay supplies new aftermarket parts from India, including PTFE-based rings and rider bands, valve assemblies, gaskets and bearings.
NL stands for non-lubricated, and the distinction is not cosmetic. With no oil film on the cylinder wall, the piston rings and rider bands have to be self-lubricating, which means PTFE-based materials rather than cast iron, and the valves see a different thermal and material environment. Fitting standard Type 30 rings to an NL machine will fail quickly and can score the cylinder.
Non-lubricated machines are specified where oil carryover into the air stream is unacceptable: food and beverage, pharmaceutical, packaging, laboratory and instrument air duty.
