Mining Equipment Accessories
Mining equipment accessories are the consumable and wear items fitted between a drill and the rock: shank adapters, coupling sleeves, drill and button bits, moil and chisel points, and air line lubricators. Vikay Mining Equipments supplies these from India in standard R32, R38, T38 and T45 thread forms.
Accessories are the parts that wear out fastest and stop a drilling crew first, so this section is stocked for quick replacement.
Shank adapters connect the drill to the rod. Vikay supplies 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" shanks in R32 and R38, plus T38 and T45 drifter shanks, in the reference series 7803xxxxxx, 7304xxxxxx, 7305xxxxxx, 4030113100, 4350113100 and 4360300200.
Coupling sleeves join extension rods in R32 (79933644), R38 (79943655), T38 (73143355) and T45 (73153663), with an R32 female to R38 male adaptor box for mixed strings.
Drill bits and button bits are supplied for DTH hammer shanks BR2, BR3, DHD 3.5, DHD 340, DHD 360, DHD 380, SD4 to SD8, M4, M6, QL40 to QL80 and the SVE and Panther series, in diameters from 76 mm to 203 mm.
Moil and chisel points for pneumatic
paving breakers and hydraulic breakers are produced from selected low-carbon steel and heat treated under full process control, in 9", 12", 14", 15", 18", 21" and 30" lengths, in round and hex shank forms.
Air line lubricators keep pneumatic tools oiled at the point of use, in 0.71 litre, 1.3 litre (VK 30) and 5 litre (VK 40) capacities.

Which shank adapter thread do I need?
- Match the thread on your drill rod. R32 and R38 are common on hand-held and light rod strings; T38 and T45 are used on drifter and rig drilling. If you are unsure, send the drill model and rod thread and it will be matched for you.
What sizes of moil and chisel points are available?
- 9, 12, 14, 15, 18, 21 and 30 inch lengths in both round and hex shank forms, to suit most pneumatic paving breakers and hydraulic breakers.
What diameters of DTH drill bits do you supply?

Why does a pneumatic drill need an air line lubricator?
- Percussive tools rely on oil carried in the air stream to protect the piston and cylinder. An in-line lubricator meters oil continuously and materially extends the life of a rock drill or breaker.
Do the accessories fit Atlas Copco and Sandvik equipment?
- Yes. Thread forms R32, R38, T38 and T45 are industry standards, so the shanks, sleeves and rods interchange with equipment from the major manufacturers.
